easterHoppity hop hop the Easter Bunny is coming this weekend. Regardless of whether or not you celebrate the holiday for spiritual reasons, everyone can enjoy the deliciousness of marsh mellow bunnies and chocolate eggs.  Potentially problematic however, is the extra fluff those sweet peeps can add on to our tails. That’s why we stole some of the Easter Bunny’s leg exercises (hey he’s got to hop around the world) to help you fight off any unwanted holiday pounds. These leg exercises are so intense, I promise you'll feel the burn.

In order to do the following exercises anchor two bands to the ground. Loop each one of them on opposite shoulders so there is an X across your chest.

Resisted Vertical Jumps

1)      Start in a squatting position

2)      Jump as high as you can and reach for the sky

3)      As you descend squat back down and touch the floor

Resisted Burpees

1)      Start off with a vertical jump by jumping and reach to the sky

2)      As you come back down, drop into the plank position

3)      Do one push up

4)      Come back into the original position and start the set again

Forward Alternating Lunges

1)      Start with your legs together

2)      Lunge forward

3)      Come back to standing position

4)      Switch legs and lunge with the other leg forward

5)      Switch and repeat

Backward Alternating Lunges

1)      Start in a standing position

2)      Lunge backward

3)      Come back to  standing position

4)      Switch legs and lunge with the other leg forward

5)      Switch and repeat
