3 thoughts on “How to Use Pull-Up Bands

  1. I’m 67 years old. On Jan 1 I resolved to be able to do pullups by the end of the year. I was pretty discouraged until our trainer recommended the pullup bands. I tried it out today. I think I’m going to make it. Thanks for the video.

  2. I’m curious; the bands on amazon.co.uk say they provide resistance of for example ’36kg to 91kg’ – Does that mean that used in different ways they provide different resistances? Ideally I’d like them to provide me about 40kg resistance as I’m very heavy at the moment and losing weight but don’t want to wait before starting chin-ups again. Any guidance?

  3. Hey Will,
Thanks for asking! You should really check out our “Which band is right for me” page in our Info Center. Basically as the band stretches, the resistance increases, giving you more assistance at the bottom of the pull up when you need it most. so the Monster band that I think you were considering, would probably give closer to 91kg at the bottom of the pull up and 36kg at the top, but thats not an exact amount, just an estimate. if you contact me at jason@rubberbanditz.com, I’d be happy to give you more info about the best band for you! – Jason
